Let us bring peace back to you and your property
Opossums present a variety of concerns for the safety and health of humans. They often harbor parasites such as fleas and ticks, and are more resistant to rabies than any other mammal, though they are not immune.
Opossums are about the same size as house cats, but can grow to a length of 40 inches. Their tail is rat-like, hairless, and slightly less than ½ their total length. In northern climates, however, tail length may be shorter due to frostbite.
Opossums may enter trailer houses and climb into insulation under the floor. They often are encountered moving about the ductwork of mobile homes. They commonly enter living quarters through large gaps around pipes and drains under sinks. Learn more about opossums at the following site icwdm.org.
